The Italian Government plans to implement the PNRR through specific public investment programmes in the context of "ultra-fast networks" in line with the European objectives geared towards the Gigabit Society and the Digital Compass.
With the "Italia a 1 Giga" plan, the Italian Government aims to build a fiber-optic network that will provide at least 1 Gbit/s download and 200 Mbit/s upload connectivity to residential units that are currently not covered by networks offering download speeds of 300 Mbit/s or more.
With the "Piano Italia 5G - Backhauling" programme, the Government is also supporting the deployment of 5G mobile networks to significantly improve wireless connectivity by deploying fiber cabling to existing Base Transceiver Stations (BTS).
With the "Piano Italia 5G - copertura" project, the Government is going to densify the 5G mobile network to ensure high-quality mobile connectivity with transmission speeds of at least 150 Mbit/s in downlink and 30 Mbit/s in uplink.
With 20 years of expertise in the field, we are actively contributing to achieving these critical goals for Italy by providing professional services in engineering design, land surveying (walk-in and walk-out), permit management, construction management and safety coordination.
We carry out site surveys to identify the house numbers of residential units not covered by an ultra-fast connection and verify in advance the realistic and most efficient feasibility of deploying the new network. We design the civil infrastructure component (excavations, piles, etc.) together with the optical component (cables, cabinets, etc.) of the new network using the latest generation of GIS applications.
Our in-depth knowledge of the territories and local authorities with which we have worked for decades means we can meet the challenging objectives of securing permits and approvals in the shortest time possible. Additionally, the widespread presence across Italy and the multi-disciplinary expertise of our technicians, who have built up many years of experience, allow us to manage worksites as Construction Managers, Safety Coordinators and acceptance testing specialists, as well as to provide services in an agile mode, also using software applications for rapid and computerised activity management.
