For the Municipality of Taglio di Po (the Province of Rovigo), we have been commissioned by Consorzio CEV to draw up an Energy Master Plan to achieve the objectives of reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, in compliance with the European Regulation for the Governance of the Energy Union and Climate Action (REGULATION EU 2018/1999 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL dated 11 December 2018).

The Regulation is the instrument by which each State, in compliance with the applicable European legislation and the implementing measures of the European 2030 Energy and Climate Package, defines its specific contribution to the European 2030 targets for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, as well as its objectives in terms of energy security, the European internal energy market and competitiveness.

A survey of the energy consumption centers in the Municipality was performed to identify the buildings responsible for 80% of the total energy consumption. These sites were selected for energy efficiency measures.

The ideal mix of initiatives to maximise energy and emissions savings and minimise resource investment was then determined for each identified consumption center.

The projects planned for the 2030 time horizon ( relamping, installation of new heat pumps, construction of photovoltaic systems with energy storage) are designed to achieve a 46% reduction in primary energy demand, a 232% increase in the production of renewable electricity and a 54% reduction in emissions of CO2 and other climate-changing gases.
