Port Rail Ltd. is currently the shunting operator with the most extensive scope of activities in the Gulf of Burgas. It manages the entire flow of goods at Burgas station and to/from its connecting terminals. Most of the cargo traffic is handled at the terminals of BMF Port Burgas EAD (Burgas East 2 and Burgas West), including cargoes of major Bulgarian companies such as Aurubis Bulgaria AD, INSA GROUP, Bulmarket DM EOOD, Huss OOD and Promet Steel EAD.

Port Rail Ltd. also operates rail shunting on behalf of Aurubis at its industrial site in Pirdop.

The RSS (Rail Shunting System) software supports our client, Port Rail Ltd., in the management of the following activities:

• planning, execution and control of shunting based on the available infrastructure and resources, the services required by the connections, incoming rail traffic and planned departures;
• managing service requests (goods information, weighing services, repair services, wagon supply and additional services);
• real-time monitoring of track occupancy status with the indication of the number of wagons present and their position;
• reporting to support invoicing and KPIs;
• registry of locomotives and wagons;
• implementing a mobile app to support activities in the field. This technology controls and monitors all shunting operations, unit/truck damage control, and railway wagons' positioning (uncoupling and coupling) in stations, shunting, and coupling areas in real time.
