Storage plants allow electricity produced by Renewable Energy Sources (RES) to be stored at times of low demand from the grid.

These plants are placed at grid nodes near wind and photovoltaic plants.

We have designed and developed five Storage Lab projects using ZEBRA batteries and five Non-Conventional Storage Systems (SANC) projects using NaS molten sodium and sulphur batteries.

In the event of a failure, these systems can generate metal fires. This requires special evaluations due to the potential release of toxic substances into the atmosphere. Fluid dynamic tests were carried out using special software to determine the maximum dispersion distance for these substances.
