PROGRESS CONTINUES ON THE BLACK SEA COASTLINE PROTECTION PROJECT
The coastal replenishment works in the Constanța area of Romania are progressing steadily. The Works Supervision, entrusted to SJS Engineering, plays a crucial technical and strategic role in safeguarding the Black Sea coastline, which has long been threatened by coastal erosion and significant risks to infrastructure, safety, and the natural ecosystem.
The project, expected to be completed within a couple of years, includes the construction of breakwaters to counteract marine erosion and the replenishment of beaches with sand sourced from offshore marine areas. The ultimate goal is to restore and ensure the long-term protection of the coastline.
Our collaboration with local partner EPMC has proven to be essential in tackling the challenges of this project, ensuring an integrated and effective approach.
