THE ITALIAN AMBASSADOR’S RESIDENCE IN AZERBAIJAN RENOVATION ASSIGNMENT

Entrusted to DBA PRO. by MAECI the assignment for the integrated design of the renovation of the Italian Ambassador’s Residence in Baku, Azerbaijan. Located within the medieval walls that delimit Baku’s historical centre, the prestigious building has hosted the diplomatic mission since 1999.

The task is of particular relevance considering that the prestigious location of the building is located in the greatest cultural interest area in Baku (UNESCO heritage site). It has a significant historical and real estate value in fact, as of June 2020, it is to all intents and purposes owned by the Italian Government.

The renovation by Italian architects and engineers will aim to convey a clear message of Italian ‘know-how’ in a country that ranks among the top strategic energy suppliers for Italy.
