SJSENGINEERING IN THE GENOA PORT AREA

SJSEngineering is one of the designers of the dredging and demolition works, as well as the paving of the new areas and the buildings for the facilities, which are part of the larger project for the construction of the new dry dock, at the Genoa Sestri Ponente shipbuilding area, intended for the construction of ships of up to 150,000 tonnes. In addition to the adaptation of the seabed to -11m, punctual interventions are planned in the area of the evolution basin, due to the increase in the size of the ships that will transit through the port, as well as improvements in the accessibility and viability of the port areas involved.

SJSEngineering's activities are part of the integrated tender for the "Final and executive design and execution of the works for the adaptation to the work place safety regulations, as well as the rationalisation of the accessibility of the industrial port area of Genoa Sestri Ponente. The latter is envisaged by the extraordinary programme of urgent investments for the recovery and development of the port and its accessibility infrastructures and for the intermodal connection of the Cristoforo Colombo airport with the city of Genoa, as well as for the hydraulic safety measures and the adjustment to the workplace safety regulations, entrusted to the temporary consortium Consorzio Stabile Grandi Lavori Scrl (agent), Consorzio Integra Società Cooperativa and Trevi Spa (agents).
