IN LIVORNO TO PRESENT DBA’S SOFTWARE SOLUTION FOR INTERMODAL TRANSPORT

In Livorno during the conference dedicated to the ‘Digitisation of the Logistics Chain’ organised by UIR and Interporto Toscano Amerigo Vespucci, we spoke about the role of freight villages in the development of intermodality. At the Autorità di Sistema del Mar Tirreno Settentrionale (Northern Tyrrhenian Sea System Authority) the VBS (Vehicle Booking System) software module, developed by DBA PRO.’s ICT division, is already available. It is integrated in the TPCS system, for the management of truck entry bookings at the port and the collection of loading units (containers, rolling stock) and goods at the port terminals. The VBS platform can be integrated with the logistics management systems of Interporto Vespucci in order to activate co-ordinated intermodal solutions of the ship-vehicle-rail type
